WHO I AM

I'm Andrew, self confessed lover of shoes from the humble brogue to crazy trainers or sneakers. Since graduating from college in a field in which now I'm not interested in pursueing, I've decided to persue a different career.

Working in a sports retail position has exposed me to all type of footwear from athletic and football boots to the newest trends in trainers. My product knowledge has grown from my nearly 3 years experience into something that i beleive i can use in a potential future career. I've been bitten by a bug that has my eyes set firmly on a job with one of the most innovative companies by the time im 30.....NIKE!

No offense to Adidas like (I'd bite at a chance to work for them too) but having a certain preference towards Nike products just made them my first choice. So that's the goal....

How am i going to do it?

Simple (kinda), first I'm going to develop my skills in both a fashion buying role and additionally develop my own skills of designing boots (it's a hobby of mine). Then with a bith of luck and maybe a few hundred job applications I'll get on that road, until then I'm happy to enjoy my time learning new things and hopefully inspiring people to enjoy footwear as much as myself.

This blog is a way to do that and i hope you enjoy it.

WHAT I DO

I work as a sales team leader in a sports retailer, which allows me to keep up to date with the latest footwear and apparel as well as getting excellent training along the way (and a few freebies)!

Annnnd?

I'm not a bad designer. I studied Product Design in college and have a pretty vast knowledge of both the designing process and the business side which combine together to release a product to the general public.

Social media specialist....

You name it I'm on it....Facebook,Twitter,LinkedIN,Pinterest,Tumblr,Instagram...to name a few. I enjoy following teams,celebs, friends and randomers...you never know what you're going to learn on a day to day basis just by keeping interested.

General tom-foolery...

I'm currently trying to learn Japanese and compete in my first charity run in April...New year, new opportunities and all that.

UPDATE: I did that....it hurt.
