Story: What was the first ever Nike shoe?

It may shock some people to find out the true origins of Nike and how they went from selling cars out of the back of a car to a multi billion dollar global giant...but that's a story for another post. This post asks the question I have many times asked myself: What was the first Nike shoe?

This is the first ever Nike shoe, called....wait for it.....The Nike! Not a sneaker or a basketball shoe which Nike are famed for, but a humble soccer/football cleat. Similar in fashion to the current The Nike Premier boot, which was indeed based on The Nike, the shoe features a basic construction with leather upper and durable sole plate.

Little did the Nike founders know what they were starting.....
